Sr. Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Sr. Electrical Design Engineer to join our award-winning team in Montville, New Jersey. The Sr. Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for the overall electronic control unit design. This is accomplished by developing a thorough understanding of the customer’s requirements, choosing a design architecture that meets the performance, reliability, and cost targets, and detailed design and analysis of the electronic control unit, considering and balancing cost, technical, schedule, and risk. In this role, you will interface with the project team and customer(s). Daily interaction with engineers, technicians, program management, and other disciplines (manufacturing, quality, etc) as well as frequent contact with suppliers, test facilities, contractors, and customers is required. Occasional travel will be involved.
Qualified candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 5 years’ direct experience with the design, development, qualification, and production of military / aerospace products.
Successful, demonstrated experience designing multi-axis electronic control units for electromechanical actuators used in the military / aerospace industry while considering cost, technical, schedule, and risk along with experience with the design and use of architectures, circuits, and components used in electronic control units used in the military / aerospace industry. This position requires a detail oriented individual who must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
