Oversee the OEM segment of Transonic’s product line by providing overall product support, market development, sales support and customer support with the goal of driving its growth globally. Develop, implement and successfully execute an effective market development plan that will affect the profitable growth of Transonic flow meters and sensors to the OEM market.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement a strategic OEM marketing plan including working with Transonic’s Marketing department on promotional and communication programs/materials, trade show activities, educational programs, key customer presentations, web-based programs, seminars and other appropriate promotional vehicles.
Research and identify market opportunities which will generate demand and drive adoption of Transonic flow meter and sensor technology for novel OEM customer needs
Participate and collaborate with Senior Management and Marketing to develop effective strategies to grow our OEM product line globally
Identify and develop relationships with Key Opinion leaders for podium presentations, seminars and education programs
Work with Marketing team to develop articles, literature and promotional material to maintain product visibility by contributions to trade journals, company website, etc.
Conduct on-site visits with existing OEM customers, manage their sales, deliveries, product quality issues and contracts, and grow our next-generation product business with them
Conduct sales activities to potential customers, and develop effective sales tools for such
Work through Engineering Department to manage changes to existing products and development of new products to increase market penetration and share
Research and maintain market intelligence on OEM competitors including product details on major competitors
Manage and coordinate both domestic and international sales/marketing efforts including meetings
Collect and analyze technical, financial, schedule, and sales information for product line
Serve as Product expert at trade shows and other industry events to support sales
Work with Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing to troubleshoot product delivery and application difficulties
Assure that OEM customer needs are exceeded, and that product performance is within Transonic’s gold standard
Perform other work-related duties as requested, directed or assigned by management
Work closely and effectively with Internal OEM Sales Engineer, co-workers in the Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and R&D Departments
Develop, maintain and lead all aspects of strong, successful working relationships with Key Opinion leaders, existing customers and potential customers
Work closely with internal and external collaborators to develop innovative applications of Transonic meters and sensors
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Sciences/Engineering field; Biomedical Engineering preferred
Prior sales or marketing experience in the OEM industry or medical device industry will be a plus
Background in Instrumentation, GMP or GAMP is also a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of OEM marketing and sales process in the biomedical sector
Outstanding written and verbal communication, presentation and training skills
Demonstrated skills in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to establish and maintain excellent rapport and credibility with potential customers, existing customers and other industry contacts
A creative and innovative mindset to assist in growing our OEM product line
