ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER POSITION
•Communicating with Clients/Owner’s Representatives is a major component of this position. Exceptional interpersonal skills are required to be an assistant project manager at Henderson.
•Responsible to support the project manager with financials, quality, schedule, safety, and overall project management.
Preconstruction Phase: Assist in the development of the initial schedule, site logistics, phasing plans. Assist in project approach; project team coordination (goal setting, responsibility, etc.); client criteria implementation (insurance requirements /billing procedures/financial reporting, etc.); client contract development/execution assistance; permit submission.
Construction Phase: Assist in updating construction schedule; subcontractor contract development; subcontractor proposal solicitation; trade bid comparisons; subcontractor contract award and scope development (develop progress billings and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices; monthly budget reports; owner change orders; material control schedules; submittal processing/coordination; Subcontractor change orders; weekly job meeting implementation; job meeting minutes and distribution; expediting manpower and materials; testing coordination and report distribution (safety program implementation); monitoring job cost reports; progress billing, certification sign-offs, and follow-up.
- Coordination of all Architectural/Engineering Efforts.
Desired Skills and Experience
•Preferred 4-year degree in an accredited construction or business related curriculum
•Construction experience is a plus
•Demonstrate competency in: scheduling, budget/cost control, financial reporting, client relationship, interpersonal skills, computer skills, ability to communicate, both written and oral, leadership and organizational skills.
•Competent in PC-based scheduling and spreadsheet applications. These include: Procore, Primavera, Excel, Word, Office, etc.
