Under minimal supervision, sets up and operates CNC wire forming machines to fabricate production parts. Operators will work with computer-controlled equipment or mechanically based machines. Machine operators make sure their machines are working at full capacity, are stocked with needed materials, well-maintained and perform periodic checks on output. The position will begin on first shift for training and then after three to six months the position moves to a permanent night shift.

Reads and interprets blueprints as needed.
Properly and safely loads machines with spring wire.
Understands, interprets and edits code programming if needed.
Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling.
Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance task on machines
Utilizes and abides by requirements and safety procedures.
Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
SKILLS and ABILITIES
Effective communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written.
Problem solving skills needed to know why machines are not at peak performance, how to increase output and how to fix errors.
Attention to detail with precision equipment and product.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
