Human Services Program Specialist

The Program Specialist is responsible for case management of a specified caseload of adults with intellectual disabilities. Responsibilities also include supervising staff, and assisting as necessary, in the provision of direct care.
Acting as a liaison with case managers, families, and other service providers
Completing assessments and coordinating the IPP and ICP process
Conducting program planning meetings
Developing activities, special programs, and training & development activities from inception to implementation
Preparing required reports
Required achievements, knowledge, skills, and abilities include:
Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, Human Services, Social Work, or related field Minimum of 2 years experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities
Associate's Degree + 4 years experience will be considered
Knowledge of assessment tools and the ability to develop and implement support plans/outcomes
Ability and desire to work as a member of an inter-disciplinary team and to interact successfully with a diverse population of individuals and staff
Staff supervision, training, and appraisal experience
Demonstrated high levels of compassion, creativity, and flexibility in order to interact successfully with program participants and develop meaningful and challenging activities that inspire people with disabilities or other special needs to lead meaningful lives
Minimum Starting Salary is $575/weekly
