Certified Research Associates, is an affiliate of Smith Allergy & Asthma Specialists of Central NY. The Center was opened in June 2017 by founder Dr. Christopher Smith to assist with the evaluation of new medications, treatments, and protocols for allergies, asthma, pulmonary diseases and vaccinations.
Certified Research Associates has an immediate opening for a Full-time Clinical Research Coordinator. Candidates should be an FNP or RPA-C. Research experience preferred, excellent communication, computer and phlebotomy skills required, must be able to work independently in a fast pace environment with minimal supervision. Job Description: The primary responsibility of the research coordinator is to manage all aspects of conducting clinical trials / research studies. The research coordinator is required to have an in-depth knowledge of protocol requirements and good clinical practices as set forth by federal regulations. As the primary resource for the protocols, the research coordinator will act as liaison between principal investigator, sub-investigators, primary care physicians, and the institutional review board (IRB) and the sponsor. Along with the principal investigator, the research coordinator will screen, enroll and follow study subjects, ensuring protocol compliance and close monitoring while the subjects are in the study. In addition, the coordinator is responsible for all data and source documentation, and adverse experience reporting. The research coordinator works under the supervision and direction of the principal investigator.
